He was awarded Entrepreneur 35 Under 35 in 2022 for his achievements and vision. Vinayak has a strong background in online marketing, market research, and strategic consulting, which he leverages to grow and scale his businesses. He is also a mindfulness advocate and a meditation practitioner, who spent two months in the monastery of H.H. Dalai Lama in 2008. Gardening is a simple step for healing the environment, and oneself. Be it environment, depression, or meditation; gardening helps in all.
With shrinking home spaces and a busy schedule, gardening is getting left behind. LazyGardener is on a mission to make urban gardening simple and is committed to creating 1 million new gardeners by 2021.
LazyGardener is a passion project born out of necessity by Vinayak Garg. Born into families of avid gardeners, Vinayak cherished memories of gardening as a kid. With his parents ageing and he caught up with the daily hustle his gardens seemed to miss the care and nature of earlier times. Vinayak just wanted to provide a simple solution for his parents.
After experimentation, for about two years the first product was launched in June 2019: The Plant Food Sticks by Lazy Gardener.
Plant food sticks by LazyGardener is an innovative approach to feed plants. The correct nutrition, using natural minerals, is packed as a stick. It takes away the guesswork and the mess of ensuring that the plants have the right nutrition. It comes as a stick, which when inserted in pots feeds the plant, gradually, over two months. A hassle-free solution for both amateur and experienced urban gardeners.
There are two variants of plant food sticks. GreenStix for lush green foliage and BloomStix for fruits and flowers.
Lazy Gardener focused on creating an engaged community of urban and home gardeners. Within four months, Lazy Gardener has amassed an active and growing community of gardeners: 30k+ on Instagram and 10k+ on Facebook. The community engages for plant-related tips, suggestions and also helps the community grow more greens.

Visionary Initiative to Sculpt a Virtuous Academic System
It was founded as an NGO in 2007, as a result of initiatives to bring about academic oriented infrastructural changes within college. Based on the principles of Inspire-Facilitate-Create, the organization is instrumental in bringing about multi-level changes in academic setup, across educational institutes at state level.
It has been responsible for many recongnizable changes within IIT Delhi like extension of library hours, total renovation of Reading Room facility, preperation of an online exam archive, bringing out a techUpdate etc ....
Society has expanded beyond IIT Delhi, with three chapters in different colleges of Delhi University. It is currently undertaken implementation of a web based intra-college communication platform for colleges of Delhi University.
