Rizwan Koita is the Chairperson of NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers), India's leading accredititation organisation covering over 25,000 healthcare facilities across the country. Rizwan is actively associated with multiple social initiatives. His philanthropic venture, Koita Foundation, support digital health initiatives and NGO transformation in India. Koita Foundation partners include IIT Bombay, Ashoka University, Tata Memorial / National Cancer Grid, Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). Prior to his philanthropic efforts, Rizwan has been a serial tech entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of CitiusTech since 2005, and led the company as its CEO for 16 years (till Oct 2021). CitiusTech is a global leader in healthcare technology with deep expertise in product engineering, data management, analytics and data science. CitiusTech has over 8,500 healthcare technology professionals worldwide and revenues of close to USD 500 Million. In 2019, CitiusTech was valued at over USD 1.0 Billion – making it one of first 25 Unicorns in India and one of very few Unicorns globally built without external funding! In 2022, Bain Capital invested in CitiusTech, valuing the company at close to USD 2.4 Billion. Prior to CitiusTech, Rizwan was the co-founder & CEO of TransWorks (now Concentrix). Founded in 1999, TransWorks was one of the first BPO organization in India. It was acquired by Aditya Birla Group, USD 40 Billion conglomerate, when it was over 1,800 professionals worldwide. Prior to TransWorks, Rizwan was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. Rizwan received TiE's Hall of Fame Award in 2022 and IIT Bombay's Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) in 2019. Rizwan won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2013 and the Young Achievers Award for Business 2002 of the Indo-American Society. Rizwan has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay & a Masters Degree in EE/Computer Science from MIT – ranked at the top in both programs.
