I am Michael Hutchens and I love numbers and how they can be used to make sense of an often confusing world. My mother was a maths professor and my father was a businessman with an MBA, so I was brought up exploring the way businesses make and spend their money, and have continued to do this in my career. I started my career pursing cliché investment banking ambitions, and quickly noticed that none of the bank's clients had a good financial model, and instead relied on us to build one for them for each transaction, which was confounding to me. So in 2002 I started a business with the goal of providing businesses of all sizes with real-time clarity and control over their numbers. This turned out to be really hard, because building financial models manually is complex and time-consuming. To address this, we spent 10 years creating the world's only financial modeling automation software, which reduces the time, cost, and risk associated with building and maintaining financial models by up to 95%. This software, and my company, is called Modano, and we now empower businesses of all sizes with the world's highest quality business analysis at affordable rates. Our tech is ever-evolving and very cool. We now integrate with heaps of accounting packages, support unlimited forecast drivers and scenarios, and produce the world's sexiest dashboards and reports.
