I'm Vinay Raj Somashekar, ex Co-founder and Chief Designer at Emflux Motors, a Bangalore based EV startup that conceived the Emflux ONE, India's first Electric Superbike Prototype. I've led a team of inexperienced but passionate underdogs to successfully design and build, on a shoestring budget, the Emflux ONE prototype that was showcased on the world stage at the Indian Auto Expo 2018. Prior to this, I've worked as a Motorcycle Designer at TVS, one of India's largest two wheeler companies, where I've had experience with both concept design and component level production part design. I've also worked as in Industrial designer at IKA Werke for two years designing high precision laboratory equipment. I am conscientious, dedicated, and hard working, and my work process involves bridging the chasm between Logic and Emotion, Fantasy and Reality, the Possible and the Impossible. There is no point in having great ideas if you can't execute them, and there's no point in being able to execute things perfectly if your ideas aren't pushing the boundaries of the real world. Finally, there is no point to any of these if the fantastic product you put out there into the real world doesn't delight the customer both at first glance as well as after having owned it for a decade. A conscious and holistic approach to design will make sure you achieve exactly that. I'm looking to collaborate with individuals who want to build great products, automobiles, and mobility solutions through good design, robust engineering, and progressive technology.
