I’m an award-winning journalist with Bloomberg News where I cover financial and investing news in Asia with a focus on Japan. Previously, I covered corporate Japan news out of Tokyo for five years, with a focus on the consumer and healthcare industries. During that time, I also wrote about Japan's response to the coronavirus pandemic, its biggest outbound M&A deal, the Carlos Ghosn legal saga, and covered the Olympic games in Tokyo and Beijing. I also spent a year reporting on and writing about China's financial system. Before Japan, I worked on the insurance, economics and breaking news desks at Bloomberg in the U.S., and started my career as a newspaper reporter. I have a master's degree in international affairs, focused on economic development, from Columbia University and extensive experience living and working overseas.
