During those 2-3 months , I was assigned the role of Project Lead , developing qualities such as project management skills as per SFIA Skills , moreover it was a learning opportunity for me and my team , understanding various platforms which can be used for Augmented Reality and also how those tools function and how they can be further implemented in any context to improve the lives of people and make Mauritius a more technology dynamic hub.

IT Trainee Customer Service Department - Hardware Infrastructure

  • During these 11 weeks of internship at State Informatics Limited, I was engaged in the Customer Service Department which dealt with the contractual part of Hardware Maintenance Agreements. This traineeship brought about an exposure to the service delivery aspect whereby I had to manage, amend contracts for clients of SIL LTD. With ample explanation from my mentor, I was able to replicate what had been taught in Business System Management at university in a real context where contract management was the core aspect. This process included mailing supplier for request for quotation from suppliers, amend calculation sheet and their respective agreements. I have learnt how to deal with suppliers & clients requiring information pertaining to their agreements or hardware purchased. I had the opportunity to learn from the Customer Service Department, how requests are logged, how the resources are delegated and how the final phase; the closure is done. I was also assigned to work on closure of request logged by clients whereby all the closure was done on a hardware system. The core aspect which I understood was to the deliver the right service at the right time, thus ensuring customer satisfaction. I also learnt how to prepare calculation sheet using back to back quotation and how to indulge in as a team player with the Customer service Staffs.
