• In my role as Senior Manager at Amazon Web Services I reported to Director of the region while 14 Sr. Engineers and 1 manager reported to me. • As a Director (S6G2 / CL4 TB9) and group head I lead a 100+ member team supporting NOC, SRE, Release Engineering, Database and Big data operation for critical global and local Samsung Services like Pay, Bixby, IoT, MobileAds and Finance+. Lead the team for Samsung Pay India service migration following RBI localization norms. Influenced team to develop continuous cloud capacity cost insight (C4i) tool which helped business in improving capacity utilization and reduction in cloud spend.

• As a General Manager (S6G1) and part head of Cloud Operation group I was responsible to build and grow a team to manage and own DevOps/TechOps/SRE activities of Samsung Pay, Samsung Voice, Samsung Health etc.. During this period I set up Global NOC team in SRIB for Samsung Pay, Voice intelligence and few B2C services. Influenced Global and local partners to adopt many service reliability engineering best practices in application monitoring, infrastructure as code, capacity planning, performance engineering and continuous delivery in hybrid public cloud environment. Guided team to play key role in launch of Samsung Pay in North America, Europe and India.

• As Tech Yahoo , Service Engineering, Principal, I was a member of Yahoo's revenue critical, Advertisement Service Engineering architecture review board taking go live decisions of new products and product features from operability, reliability and performance perspective. During this tenure I also worked as a service engineering architect for Yahoo Answers, a Bangalore center owned product. Played critical role in restoring it's BCP compliance, an important criterion for daily habit products of Yahoo.

Worked as Bangalore's primary PE during high impact Microsoft search transition project. Mentored junior PEs. Worked as a paper reviewer in Yahoo's internal annual tech conferences.

• As a Tech Lead in Yahoo's Algorithmic Search Production Engineering Team I spearheaded the Flow (inventory), Build (deploy), Breakfix (repair) activities of Yahoo Search backend Clusters in 06 data centers across the globe as part of the global team. Managed service availability, monitoring, search proxy and search engine application deployment in runtime (user traffic serving) clusters consisting of 50K+ physical nodes.

• Realizing the importance of data and significance of digital transformation in governance and human life I lead JBIC funded projects to build IT infrastructure of the WBPCB, from scratch between 2000-2007. The effort lead to implementation of “Environmental Management Information System” - first e-governance application in the field of environment which was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister of WB in 2004.
