• Involved as OpenShift Engineer for transitioning the knowledge to Accenture's L1/L2 Application Support team for a Canadian Retail Giant. Doubled up as the Transition lead to manage the overall transition across multiple technology areas (including Real time & Batch applications), overseeing the KT documentation & shadowing/reverse KT. Traveled to Canada for direct interaction with the incumbent vendors & set relationship with the Infra Vendor & Client to coordinate transition and bolster confidence in client towards our readiness. Drove OCP Accreditation for half a dozen OpenShift support team members. Helped stabilize the operations post support cut-over. As a side project, also helped on the design phase of a pilot cloud transformation project.

• Provided assistance to a BIC project team on migrating Java apps over PCF PaaS. Apps included Spring Stack. While waiting for PCF related work, created strategy to migrate client's JSP Taglib based Apps (owing to one of their crucial Taglib being sunset) to a modern framework, an automated tool to estimate migration effort by parsing code for the tags and lead creation of a migration tool to automate migration of the easier set of tags. Role cut short, as PCF work didn't turn up.

• As part of the seeding team, lead a distributed migration team tasked with modernizing an actuarial practice .NET webapp of a leading global professional services firm, moving to a Multi-tenant/SaaS architecture on Pivotal Cloud Foundry. The app is slated to be the BU's a primary revenue driving asset as the particular business aims to grow to a $20M annual revenue.

• Performed a PaaS Comparison (including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, SAP Cloud Platform etc) and assessment for a portfolio of applications for Accenture's Intelligent Enterprise Platform (AIEP, now called MyConcerto) to recommend the best suited platform.

• Led a cloud platform migration & containerization project for a Nordic public transportation client, as part of the client’s overall strategy for a container enabled public cloud migration. The project involved migrating half a dozen applications based on varied platforms including Java/J2EE, Grails, Wicket etc. and platform migration to an open source stack (Weblogic to JBoss EAP, JDK3 to OpenJDK, Oracle to AWS Postgres RDS etc, application containerization to Docker and platform improvements) and deployed to a Containers-as-a-Service (CaaS) solution on the AWS Cloud using Docker Datacenter and DevOps. The migration heavily reduced customer's dependency on legacy infrastructure, reduced run-costs by 50% and improved the time to market with deployments happening in minutes.

• Offshore Lead responsible for delivery for the Cheque Imaging Programme ($3M deal for a leading British banking & financial services company); 50+ FTE comprising of Dev Feature factory teams and Test teams. Helped convert the staff-augmentation project to a Managed services model with increased productivity. Lead hackathon initiative for Barclays & came up with more than 18 ideas across delivery units. Streamlined Agile metrics collection to present an outcome based delivery model in the renewed contract.

• As the lead for Development Architecture stream for VLM (National Labour Gateway Portal of Middle east government ) I established the Configuration & Release management processes, branching & merging strategy to support multiple parallel releases along with the operations release; published Dev Arch documentation for all application areas; replaced the inefficiently used & outdated Cruise Control based build process to Jenkins based continuous delivery process across non-production environments using build pipelines and integrated Sonar tool. The typical build time was optimized, reliable and repeatable, requiring very less manual intervention and reduced build/deployment time significantly; introduced Jenkins DSL plugin, wrote Groovy scripts to auto generate multi-step and multi-environment build pipeline for Jenkins with a click of button; as an SME, educated development team on code quality, configuration & release management processes and enforced compliance.
• As an Application Architect for Release 1.1, I also lead the estimation exercise for R1.1 that helped leadership defend confidently with client. Provided consulting to consortium partner AEC to refine their Operation Support processes & templates.

• Played Project Manager and Agile coach for a multi-location offshore team of 40+ on a $16m multi-year application development & maintenance engagement for a leading European retail postal services company. Being the first step in their 2020 Digital Strategy goals, this has been a critical project for the client, enabling their business separation from another entity. The digital platform created has become the backbone of client’s customer facing interaction, online, in-branch and via mobile. The project also showcased a Cloud-foundry PaaS, IaaS based DevOps strategy, that has guided numerous other projects. The project has won an H&PS All Star Team award (Accenture Internal) for achieving success on numerous challenges.

• I played the offshore Project Manager for the project for DG TAXUD (European Commission), an Accenture Client, to build their Anti-Counterfeit and Anti-Piracy System called COPIS. I started as a Technology Architect for this H&PS project on Customs & Taxation domain, before I was asked to also deliver the project from India offshore. The project followed a hybrid delivery model and involved distributed teams from India, Latvia, Belgium and Norway, with ~40FTEs, with ~10 in India reporting to me. The product was built using the proprietary service-oriented architecture framework called TATAF (Tariff Application Technical Architecture Framework). Technology stack included EJB2.x/3.x, JMS, Apache Wicket, Bean Validations etc. on Oracle/Weblogic. Agile (Scrum) methodology. I also established the Scrum/DevOps practices at offshore and got the project audited & certified as compliant under the Agile-Scrum project certification program of Accenture. The program was delivered on time, on budget & on quality.

• Brought in as a Technical SME to advise on the Code Quality related processes in the project for a platform for world's largest distributors of electronic components and embedded solutions. Wrote custom rules for open source static code quality tool PMD, created Ant scripts to use code quality tools such as PMD, Checkstyle and FindBugs for code quality check and Emma for JUnit coverage report. Later integrated these with Project's continuous build server (Jenkins). Performed manual code reviews and educated the team on using the Jenkins build reports for the mentioned tools.

• IT Design Build/Project management for a distributed Agile project of Accenture for an European Insurance Platform, deputed at client locations at Munich, Germany and Vienna, Austria. From March 2010 to Dec 2010 I played the role of project's Portal & Integration Architect. Post that I managed the 10 member Claims IT Workcell as its lead, with development work spanning Portal, Desktop Client and Mainframe systems.

Responsible for creating Technical Designs, Development & testing against Bug Fix & Change/Enhancement request from on-site team/client. Contributed to the KM Repository KREP to document best practices/lessons learnt.

• Worked on design/development/testing of several J2ME client/server applications for client Reliance Infocomm. Developed on Indic Input editor for Midlets and Transliteration Engine. Introduced and trained team to adopt an Antenna (Ant based build tool for J2ME applications) based build process.
