Currently running Videoschool Media, Mango Creators and a startup focussed YT Channel Focus Start https://www.youtube.com/@FocusStartwithAnnkur/ I started up in 2002 as an online retailer, all fascinated by the digital world. The convenience of ordering a fanta bottle and backpack online with a cash on delivery service was an enlightenment for me back then. It has taken more than a decade and painfully slow evolution in the industry to see this now being a reality for the masses. Am doing my bit to make shopping in India better with Pricebaba! Pricebaba was acquired by 91Digital in June 2018. Pricebaba served over 150M users without advertising. At SahiGST we are excited about the digital India challenge. SahiGST's platform is meant for 10million+ taxpayers registered under GST! Our team has built a great solution that adapts as per changing laws & user requirements. This is truly a SaaS product made in India for India. SahiGST was acquired by Vayana in early 2018. SahiGST was used by several Public companies & banks for their full scale GST filings.

  • I started my career selling gadgets online after watching Baazee.com's TV ads. My belief in online shopping was intuitive as I was not only a seller but also an avid online shopper myself.
  • Over the years, I learnt a lot about consumer sales and good + bad customer service. My suppliers from the local Mumbai market taught me how to negotiate, sell and harbor relationships. My customers taught me how to deal with consumers who are ahead of the curve (imagine online shoppers in 2002) and understanding the golden value of life time value of a customer even before knowing the term.
  • I started my business at a young age of 15 when Internet connectivity was largely on Dial-Up and saw a lot of early e-commerce challenges w.r.t. payments, logistics and platform policies first hand. I was one of the youngest Power Sellers on eBay India and earned some invaluable mentors amongst my seller and buyers.
  • Most importantly I was shaped as an individual by the early exposure of earning & losing money in business, making wrong bets on people and trading with 1000s of individuals. I believe this experience made me a good judge of character, destroyed the lust to make quick money and empathise with customers.
