• SAP Globalization Services Financials ACRS (Advanced Compliance Reporting Service) focuses on helping businesses comply with local financial and tax regulations across different countries.
• Worked on a framework to enable communication of reports to tax authorities. The framework is designed in a way so that it is adaptable to country-specific technical requirements. It plays a critical role in enabling electronic submission of reports. It supports OAuth 2.0 authorization mechanism and is used by multiple teams spread across geographies.
• Refactored the communication framework and re-implemented the core logic making it open to feature extension and easy to maintain. (Secret sauce: OOPs)
• Modified the middleware which links the country-specific logic with the communication framework in order to make it backward compatible with the old version of API. Thus, reducing the number of deliverable artifacts at CPI layer by 50%.
• Analyzed the performance of a data-intensive microservice used for replication of ERP data for possible bottlenecks in terms of memory and compute requirements.
• Worked on a solution to scale the data replication service by incorporating queuing and moving to a producer-consumer architecture. Analysed the memory foot-print of the improved solution and reduced the turnaround time for processes by ~60% by handling potential resource leaks.
• Worked on framework for the validation of ERP data which has been replicated to cloud from multiple sources. The objective here was to make sure that all the data dependencies have been fulfilled before a report generation is triggered.
• Worked on the analysis and implementation of fraud prevention headers for making the reporting framework compliant with UK HMRC guideline.
