• As lead architect for the StoredIQ platform, I have collaborated with Product Management to deliver critical features to the market through the year. I have represented StoredIQ engineering at client conferences and in front of potential customers and partners.
• With our talented engineering team, we have delivered StoredIQ's Box migration story over multiple iterations. We have also developed plans to take StoredIQ to the next level of scale and supporting a hybrid deployment model, and have already completed prototypes for these.

May 2013 – Jan 2016 · 2 yrs 8 mos

• Post-acquisition, I built the first IBM Software Lab team in Chennai for StoredIQ. This was a cross-functional team covering everything from UI, Application Development, Platform Engineering, QA and DevOps. For 3 years, we consistently delivered complete features with little reliance outside our team and became go-to experts for several product components.
• As a manager, I personally recruited this team of young, driven and talented engineers and we built a reputation as a high-performance, closely-knit team at IBM. I have ingrained a culture of prototyping and show-and-tell which helped bring our ideas to the global team and into the product roadmap.
• As an architect, I have deployed lean development practices and coached young engineers through design and code reviews . As an individual contributor, I have continued developing critical features for components I own and addressing high priority customer issues. I have also spoken for StoredIQ at annual IBM conferences.

Oct 2009 – Apr 2013 · 3 yrs 6 mos · Chennai Area, India

• As a founding partner at Pravritt, I setup the infrastructure for a development center, owned the accounts and assets of the business and recruited young, promising engineers. I exposed myself to the challenges of running a small business in India.
• We primarily worked for StoredIQ as consulting software developers. We owned key data processing components and connectors, established core platform services as the product pivoted to a federated, virtualized solution and built the product's reporting capabilities from scratch. The latter was critical to the StoredIQ demo that closed the IBM acquisition.

Apr 2007 – Sep 2009 · 2 yrs 5 mos · Austin, Texas Area

• StoredIQ funded a work permit so I could work from their Austin HQ next to the core of the Systems Team. I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the brightest engineers during this stint and feel indebted to them for the wisdom and opportunities they shared with me.
• We architected a clustered solution for higher performance. We built a number of connectors no one else in the competition had. We built data processing capabilities that became important differentiators in the market.
• I enjoyed the experience of working on a number of partner integration projects that I ended up owning. This includes Symantec, Wolters Kluwer, Case Central and PSS Systems.
• I built full-featured connectors to various unstructured data sources over a variety of communication bridges, including - EMC Centera (C++ SDK), Symantec Enterprise Vault (Remote DCOM), Hitachi Archivas (HTTP REST) and SharePoint (HTTP SOAP).
• I also architected and built the complete StoredIQ data export pipeline. This included participating in the EDRM export industry standards discussion when version 1.0 was being formalized.

Aug 2004 – Apr 2007 · 2 yrs 8 mos · Pune Area, India

• As a contract developer on the StoredIQ Systems Team, I started out developing a CIFS connector to Windows file shares. I then owned development of an NFS connector while also helping complete an NCPFS connector - all using open source technologies.
• I was given complete ownership of establishing a bulk action execution framework for the product and I put in place actions like Copy, Move, Delete and Modify Security for the product.
• At Calsoft, I also led a team of 5 young engineers to build a prototype of a Continuous Data Protection System for Windows. I also led a team of 3 graduate students toward an award-winning prototype of a Compressed File System written in Python.

• As a Teaching Assistant, I have performed a variety of roles working closely with professors and students at one of India's premier technology institutes.
• This included running a Logic Design lab that involved working with FPGA kits and programming in VHDL. I was also selected as one of the top programmers in the class to run a 10-credit programming course for juniors.
