• Evaluated machine learning algorithms and implemented PSM-Net for disparity map prediction,
• estimated accuracy for odometry of AGVs with IntelRealsense cameras.
• 1. Image Rectification: Obtained and aligned stereo images and aligned the two cameras using checkerboard method.
• 2. Disparity Literature: Literature review and evaluated existing disparity derivation techniques on the parameters of runtime, accuracy, impregnability to choose algo to work on.
• 3. Implementation: Built 2 disparity algorithms, 1. Using opencv and filters. 2. Pyramid stereo matching network using pytorch.
• 4. Odometry from Disparity: Used Vslam and Fastslam to combine stereo imaging with the disparity map to produce an odometry output.
• 5. Accuracy tests: Devised displacement experiments on the cart to compare the results of the slam output with intelrealsense odometry. Calculated errors and concluded with limitations of our implementation.
