About

Hi, I am Dr. Tabassum. A doctor with a white coat. I am the first woman in my family to become a doctor. The first to live alone in a city, the first to have a job, and the first to run my own business. For some of you, that might not sound like a big deal. But… for me, it is. I come from a very small town in Uttarakhand called Bazpur, a tier-6 city near Nainital, where over 90% of women are married before the age of 20. Many aren’t even given an education out of fear they might “get out of hand” or ask for freedom. They are expected to be quiet. To obey, cook, clean, take orders, and serve the family. So to even dream of something different, to pack my bags, move to Delhi, work in companies, start my own business, was nothing short of rebellion. It was a journey of ambition, dreams, and a lot of sheer luck. I spent the last 5 years of my life to get to a stage where I could take a chance on myself and finally...... Life has taken a 360* turn and here I am, building “Yesterday” for people who are just like me: rebellious, misfits, and fighters who dare to dream. Who are a little different from the rest. The ones who tone it up when the world tells them to tone it down. The ones who dare to be themselves: loud, raw, messy, real, and unapologetic. Yesterday isn’t just skincare. Yes, it’s for the days you want to glow up, but more than that, it’s a philosophy that says we can show a middle finger to the idea of being perfect, quiet, polite, or predictable. It's about being a fighter and rebel, being different, not being ordinary. And thus, it's not for everyone. And that’s okay. It’s for people who are loud, unfiltered, emotional, sometimes angry, sometimes lost, but always true to themselves. The ones who know they will be judged, who know there’s a price to dream big, to speak, to not let others control them, but they still choose to live boldly anyway.
