About

I build and run mission-critical systems that have to work, not systems that can be “almost right.” Big failures rarely come from one obvious mistake. They happen when small issues pile up under pressure. Heat builds up. Timing slips. Sensors give imperfect data. Logs are incomplete. No one is clearly in charge. Assumptions that worked in a lab fall apart in the real world. I work on closing that gap. I am the Founder of Umanah Systems Group. We build and operate focused technology companies across semiconductors, mobility platforms, sensing systems, and advanced hardware and software. Our work targets demanding environments, including defense and space. We design and manufacture real systems. Chips. Power systems. Vehicles and mobility architectures. Software and governance layers. We define clear boundaries between components. We document what each part is supposed to do. We test under stress. The goal is simple. When the system is deployed, it behaves the way we said it would. I am a 3× founder featured on CNN, TechCrunch, and VentureBeat. Today, I operate as a systems architect. I design how semiconductors, mobility platforms, manufacturing, software, and operational rules fit together into deployable, accountable systems. ⸻ WHAT I BUILD I build semiconductor platforms, mobility systems, and the hardware and software engines that govern how they operate. That includes chips, power and control architectures, autonomous system governance layers, validation frameworks, and audit-ready reporting systems. Hardware and software are designed together as one integrated system. When relevant, this work aligns with defense and space commercialization pathways, especially where autonomy, compliance, and reliability intersect. ⸻ HOW I THINK Before anything gets built, I ask: 1. What breaks if this problem is not solved? 2. What assumptions are we making about physics, data, timing, or human behavior? 3. Where will this system fail first under stress? 4. How will we measure success in a way that is clear and defensible? 5. If it fails in the field, can we reconstruct what happened? 6. Who is accountable when something goes wrong? If we cannot answer those questions clearly, we are not ready to ship. ⸻ IP & ENGAGEMENT MODEL I do not operate as a traditional consultant. I build engines and license them. Systems are delivered as modular platforms that partners can test, govern, and audit independently. The goal is long-term control, accountability, and operational resilience, not vendor dependence.

Umanah institute

Founder and President

Jan 2023Present · 3 yrs 4 mos · Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

  • Umanah Institute advances resilient infrastructure deployment by aligning validated technology, operators, and long-horizon capital under real-world constraint.
  • The Institute focuses on the structural gap between technical validation and durable deployment. In many sectors, important systems do not fail because the underlying science is weak. They stall because integration is difficult, certification is slow, procurement is fragmented, capital is misaligned, and field conditions expose what controlled environments do not.
  • Umanah Institute addresses that gap through two connected functions.
  • First, it convenes operators, engineers, program leaders, technology transfer stakeholders, and long-horizon capital around the realities that shape deployment. These are structured working sessions centered on adoption pathways, institutional coordination, deployment risk, and survivability under constraint.
  • Second, it supports applied engineering shaped by real operating conditions. This work is focused on systems that must perform under pressure, where documentation, integration logic, failure containment, and deployment readiness matter as much as technical promise.
  • The Institute’s areas of interest include defense, energy, mobility, industrial infrastructure, space, and adjacent high-consequence systems.
  • Umanah Institute is not a startup platform, a media brand, or a venture marketplace. It is an institutional platform focused on durable deployment.
