  • P.S. For those who DM wanting to "share insights and exchange notes" about the sabbatical, here are two my cents:
  • a. You Do You! The whole point of taking a break is to TAKE A BREAK! This is your time to differentiate, not converge to the median. Stop being curious about others and craft this break for yourself. If you want to spend a month on your couch eating junk and watching Friends reruns, just do it! There's no guidebook to doing this "right"! Please don't operate out of FOMO that what if I miss out on the "Top 10 things to do on a sabbatical". Also, get off LinkedIn.
  • b. I do not think it's worth my time or yours to "get on a Zoom" to discuss this. It's absolutely the opposite of what I would like to do with my time. Maybe I'll write a long post about the sabbatical one day.
