About

I'm a builder, operator, and founder with over 20 years of experience building technology companies, currently focused on mental health through my company Zumlo. I spent most of my career in legal technology and compliance, working across product, operations, and business development. I helped scale a company from inception to 300+ people and $25M+ revenue globally, building enforcement tools used by top law firms and government agencies including the SEC and DOJ. I've co-founded two startups. My previous company in data governance and privacy raised $1M in pre-seed funding and was recognized by the National Law Journal as an Emerging Technology company in 2020. After two decades in legal tech, I experienced PTSD, anxiety, and depression firsthand. That experience showed me the gaps in mental health support—particularly the unsupported time between clinical appointments when people need guidance most. It led me to step away from my career and start Zumlo. Zumlo is a care continuity platform that addresses these gaps by connecting daily life experiences with clinical guidance between therapy sessions. We focus on awareness, access, and everyday support that works alongside existing care.

Zumlo

Founder

Sep 2023Present · 2 yrs 7 mos

  • Founded Zumlo in response to a deeper problem I experienced first-hand: wellbeing is often invisible until it becomes a crisis. Awareness and support are missing from how people experience care today and too often, help comes only after things have already become overwhelming.
  • The idea for Zumlo came from lived experience. During some of the most challenging periods of my life, I found that the support I needed didn’t exist. What was available felt fragmented, reactive, and focused on isolated symptoms rather than the person behind them. Zumlo was born from the desire to create what I wish I had.
  • Built on a holistic philosophy of wellbeing, Zumlo recognizes that mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health are deeply interconnected. It is designed to support awareness and reflection in everyday life - not as a replacement for human care, but as something present between moments, helping people notice patterns, check in with themselves, and stay connected to their wellbeing over time.
  • My professional experience building and scaling enterprise platforms, working in regulated environments, and operating within healthcare-adjacent systems informs how Zumlo is being built but the heart of it remains human.
  • Our mission is to increase awareness and make wellbeing proactive, personal, and part of daily life, rather than something people engage with only when they are struggling.
  • Zumlo uses AI with intention and responsibility - not to automate care, but to make guidance more personal, culturally aware, and available when it’s needed most. It reflects a long-term commitment to building a wellbeing experience that is ethical, inclusive, and deeply human.
