Avoine was the first organization in Finland dedicated to creating innovative web services for nonprofit organization. Avoine's services are used in over 250 national unions and they provide the connection to over 2,6 million individiual members.
As the Director of Association Services I was responsible of the overall performance of Avoine's business unit directed at serving small and medium sized non-profit organizations with easy-to-use SaaS products.
I lead a cross-functional team of 12 professionals dedicated to the product development, customer support and marketing of our association-inspired international web product family called FreeMore (in Finland known as Yhdistysavain). I worked as the Product Owner of a 4-person Scrum team and guided our content marketing and sales efforts.
Since starting as a Director at Avoine we've achieved numerous milestones, including
Expanding our FreeMore products and service models to Swedish, German and English-speaking markets
Grow our customer base among small and medium sized nonprofits by over 50 % to over 5 500 associations and over 400 000 individual members
Continuously maintain a very pleased customer base with an average "Would you recommend?" -rate of over 95 % (user surveys 2012-2014)
I also worked as "Marketing Manager" (10/2010 - 11/2011) and "Service Coordinator" (03/2010 - 09/2010) on a company called Optinet Ltd, later merged with Avoine Ltd.
