It's kinda weird how little influencer marketers share with each other. In other marketing disciplines (paid, SEO), you see a lot more knowledge sharing. "How do you do [X]"?, or "What happened when you did [Y]"? It's a serious competitive advantage having a network to lean on like that. You cut out mistakes, avoid common pitfalls, and progress much faster. Most influencer marketers don't have that. They either have zero, or maybe 1-2 friends at other brands/agencies they can lean on for real advice. The purpose of my content is to fill that gap. I'm in a pretty unique position. I lead marketing at Modash (an influencer marketing tool with 1,400+ customers). As part of that role, I've written dozens of articles on influencer marketing (100k+ words!), and interviewed dozens of influencer marketing managers. We run regular surveys, and I fill up my calendar with killer 1:1 conversations about how folks run influencer marketing programs. All that makes for a birds-eye-view of the influencer marketing space that most in-house marketers aren't (easily) able to get. I'm planning to share everything I learn here.
