Whether contributing as a lawyer, a principal, or an entrepreneur, I’m energized by working with others to structure and grow prosperous organizations. As the COO and General Counsel of DV Group, a 600 person proprietary trading and investment platform based in Chicago (with offices in New York, Houston, Miami, Toronto, London, and Dubai), I’m charged with executing our team’s vision, including playing a key role in continuing our expansion efforts and facilitating the group’s acquisitions, investments and start-ups. Prior to joining DV, I spent over 9 years as a member of a 40 year old Chicago based law firm, in which I founded and grew the firm’s financial services practice, which routinely represents banks, brokerage firms, hedge funds, private equity firms, financial technology firms and proprietary trading firms. Before returning to the private practice of law in 2011, I spent nearly 7 years as the Chief Legal Officer of a 500+ person hedge fund platform, with offices in 20+ countries and over $2 billion in assets. While based in Monte Carlo, Monaco, I helped implement an international holding structure and expand operations into new countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
