Tianqiao Chen is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Shanda Group. He is also the Co-founder of the Tianqiao & Chrissy Chen Institute which he created with his wife in 2016 to help advance fundamental brain science and help humanity. Widely recognized as one of the most innovative entrepreneurs of his time, Tianqiao has been credited with pioneering the online game and online literature industries in China. Over the past 16 years, three of Shanda Group’s subsidiaries have been listed on NASDAQ and one on KOSDAQ. In 2012, after privatizing the company, he sold his stake in the operating company and transformed Shanda into a global investment firm. Tianqiao holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Fudan University, where he is also a member of the Board of Directors.
