Dr. Akash is Ph.D. from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (Major: Artificial Intelligence, stability and Optimization). Having 20 years of rich administrative, academic and research experience. He is serving as full professor in school of engineering and technology at Central University of Haryana. Earlier he was associated with Vellore institute of technology University, Bhopal. Under his leadership the department got twice accredited with NBA at SKIT, Jaipur. He also acted as Coordinator of Outcome Based Education and coordinator of NAAC accreditation. Dr. Akash has also served as Head of the Department, Controller of Examination, dean research and many other academic and administrative positions in various institutions. He has served on various Governing bodies including NITTTR (Certified Faculty Mentor), UK India Education and Research Institute (UKIERI), British Council (Nodal Coordinator for Leadership Development Program), All India Council for Technical Education (Principal Investigator for MODROB project (12.14 Lacs INR), Coordinator of STTP and 3 conferences) Rajasthan Technical University (VC nominee of Doctoral Research Committee , PI for two TEQIP-III sponsored Research Projects of worth 4.40 Lacs INR)and Rajasthan ILD Skill university as chairman of Board of Studies for Artificial Intelligence for designing Course Curriculum. Dr. Akash is also serving as Fellow IETE, Senior Member- IEEE, he is also IEEE Volunteer for more than 2 decades and has executed many leadership roles of IEEE in India and abroad. He has organised more than 15 international conferences as a leader and coordinator, out of these 5 events are sponsored by AICTE and TEQIP-III. He has also given 50 plus expert lectures at National and International Platforms. To name a few prominent ones are Malaviya National Institute of Technology, University of Paderborn and University of Bahrain. Dr. Saxena is amongst the top 2% scientists of World in the field of Artificial Intelligence, this ranking is given by Stanford University and Elsevier jointly on the basis of quality publications and citation counts. His major research areas are soft computing, Computational and Artificial Intelligence with the specialization in Optimization theory. He has a high H-index 24,i-10 index 43 and total citation 1731 as on date (01/09/2024). He has published 100 journal papers (50 Scopus,25 SCI papers, (5 sole author papers (Elsevier) and 9 first). HE has co-authored four book chapters and co-inventor for 3 patents. He supervised 4 Ph.D. and 24 Master theses hitherto.
