I'm a security engineering leader with 10+ years of experience building secure-by-design platforms at scale, across AppSec, cloud security, and more recently, agentic AI security. At Scout24, I lead security engineering for a platform serving millions of users in Germany. That means everything from cloud security strategy and product security to figuring out how to secure AI agents in production. I've built programs from scratch, replaced fragmented tooling with unified platforms, embedded shift-left practices across dozens of teams, and led security for ISO 27001 and multiple acquisitions. I'm also a builder at heart. I write code, ship tooling, and spend my evenings and weekends prototyping ideas, lately focused on open-source security tooling for AI agents. I think the best security engineers understand what they're protecting by building it themselves. These days, I'm especially drawn to the security challenges around agentic AI: runtime guardrails, LLM red teaming, MCP security, and helping organizations adopt AI without blindly inheriting new attack surfaces.
