• I was a co-founder in a stealth team of senior architects trying to build a horizontal B2B SaaS platform using low-code and AI. I had to amicably exit because of different vision and timing issues in other founder not willing to go full-time into the startup. But it was a great group, so we are all still friends.

• I went from Lead to Principal Engineer in just eighteen months, which I’d say puts me in the top 5% when it comes to promotion speed at this level in Salesforce.
• As a Principal Software Engineer working in Salesforce Experience Cloud, which empowers thousands of businesses and millions of their customers online, I helped ideate, architect, and build some of the most innovative products at scale.
• I was one of the two founding members of the Salesforce CMS team and helped prototype the vision in one release. The CMS team went on to become 50+ engineers and is one of the matured CMS offerings in the enterprise today.
• I have also pitched data-binding driven low-code/no-code experience building for Experience Cloud and GAed V1 of the vision in just two releases with a small team. This product empowers next-generation digital experiences for B2B and B2C scale and customization.
• I have worked across the stack in this role and built foundational platform layers that are used by more than twenty teams.
• Worked with different clouds like Commerce, Industries, and others to collaborate and evolve our products in both tech and features to suit different use cases.
• I have also mentored and coached engineers to grow into lead-level engineers. I built successful teams that delivered at high velocity while balancing the right mixture of product, design, and engineering thought.

• I went from Senior to Lead in just eighteen months, which I’d say puts me in the top 10% when it comes to promotion speed.
• I primarily led some of the most complex UI products and platform features at Salesforce Communities cloud. I was a full-stack engineer focussing on 70/30 UI vs. backend features.
• Highlight in this role is that I delivered Communities Workspaces product in one release while working with 15+ teams. It was heavy framework and platform level UI work where I had to work with many designers, managers, and product owners across many teams.
• Highlight of this time at Salesforce is that I got President's award at Salesforce that is given to the top engineers in R&D for the above product I delivered in record time with highest quality.
• I have mentored many junior engineers to grow into senior engineers.

• I worked as a User Interface developer in Salesforce Communities team. I do get my hands dirty with Java regularly and build backends as well when team needs help. But I primarily helped build some of the critical UI pieces in the cloud.

• Well, finally I landed in a tech company. This has been my dream and I risked it all to leave job at Cognizant and get into product companies.
• Salesforce hired me as UI developer, but I worked across the stack and learned how to operate in a large tech company.
• I helped build some of the critical pieces early Salesforce Communities product features while growing in confidence and skills to operate at scale.

• This was my first attempt at startups. I was naive and young and 2007 wasn't any near where startups were a thing in India.
• I tried to build some ideas but I would accept that my lack of experience in the industry wasn't helping as these ideas were tech heavy and ambitious.
• But I got networked with some of the best people who were there in Indian startup eco-system, which was really small back then.
• Fun fact: I became Flipkart's first customer during this time :) It wasn't planned. I just bought a book there and I came to know a few years later through an article written by them that I was their first customer.
