  • What started as a simple idea to make domestic help more reliable and professional grew into Safai Setu; a helpcare service supporting homes and property fleet operators with daily and on-demand cleaning.
  • Within just two months, we grew to 70+ customers and crossed ₹2L+ MRR, growing the portfolio ~10% month-on-month. A major share of our revenue (about 85%) came from property operators, while homes drove consistent daily demand with 11-12% pre-bookings and 2-3% instant requests.
  • To deliver consistent service, we built a 15-member ground team, including out-of-state staff we supported with stay and logistics. It was intense, hands-on, real operations.
  • Eventually, we chose to close the venture. The business was highly seasonal, workforce utilisation became unpredictable, and the model didn't scale the way the numbers initially promised.
  • Shutting it down was tough; Still, it remains one of my most valuable experiences teaching me realities of service-ops, workforce management, and the grit required to build in the domestic helpcare space.

  • Validated a new model in the mobility & ride-hailing space. After several months of research, discussions, and initial validation, I decided to pause the venture as the timing and scalability challenges didn’t align with my current resources.
  • Learned immensely about mobility economics, investor perspectives, and customer pain points during this journey.
