• Contributed to the Prime Video International Payments team, driving the integration and enhancement of
• global payment solutions. Focused on delivering a seamless, localized transaction experience, enabling
• customers to utilise their preferred payment methods for any offer type (Prime, Channels, TVOD, etc.).
• Engineered the scaling of Customer Onboarding & Checkout systems by abstracting Payment Method-specific configurations into a centralised Config Store Service. This initiative, optimised PM launch timelines, reducing them by 8-10 SDE weeks.
• Architected and refactored the design to surface Prime Video Risk Banners on payment selection interfaces, enabling seamless redirection of customers to Retail pipelines for additional payment methods support. Reengineered the service code for extensibility, reducing feature development timelines from 12 to 4 SDE weeks, and driving a 15% increase in customer signups.
• Pioneered the introduction of PayCode (Pay with Cash at Store) as a novel payment method for Prime Video in Mexico, targeting unbanked or cash-preferring customers. This strategic launch captured over 100K new subscriptions within 6 months, boosting Prime Video penetration by 20% in Mexico.
• Led efforts on Project Boomerang, an initiative focused on reclaiming customers lost through Externally Managed Payments (e.g. Google Play Billing) and addressing restrictions on in-app purchases, rentals and subscriptions. Achieved 30% increase in signups and purchases across various global locales while reducing CX-related escalations.
• Designed and implemented infrastructure for migrating a Tier-1 service responsible for verifying transaction eligibility to AWS. Conducted comprehensive stress testing by replaying production traffic and developed a reconciliation script to validate outputs against legacy systems before ramping up to 100% in production. This migration improved service performance and resiliency, with annual infrastructure cost savings exceeding $100K.

• I joined as 6 month SDE Intern at Amazon, Bangalore. I worked at the Prime Video International Commerce team. The mission of Prime Video International Commerce (PVIC) is to offer a localized transaction experience to customers across the globe – International customers are able to purchase any offer type (Prime, PV, 3P Channels, TVOD, etc.) in their local currency utilizing their preferred payment method.
• My project was based on the Implementation of Payment Gateway in the Netherlands for Prime & Channels.
• Prime Video International Commerce team is working to introduce iDeal as a payment method for the purchase of Prime and Channel subscriptions for customers in the Netherlands within the Prime Video stack. Clients such as FireTV and 3pLivingRoom showed an Out Of Band (OOB) message to the customer and required them to complete MFA using a secondary device. But, if the payment method is chosen as iDEAL by the customer, there is no signup funnel. We wanted to introduce a similar signup pattern for customers using iDEAL as a preferred payment method, by sending them an email notification for the completion of their purchase.
• I mainly worked on the Spring framework using Java Development. I was actively involved in the development of various services, code packages, and pipelines, writing clean and maintainable code and striving for 100% code coverage through unit tests. I also emphasized a better understanding of analyzing code complexity, data structures, and algorithmic complexity, estimating the effort required, and planning accordingly. I also got a chance to work on several AWS services like SNS topics, SQS, etc.
