My passion for optimization and innovation stems from my academic background in industrial and management engineering, where I conducted ground-breaking research, taught at prestigious universities, and coauthored several books and papers on network optimization and its applications. I founded Optym in 2000 with the vision of bringing optimization intelligence to the real-world problems of transportation and logistics, and since then I have grown the company to nearly 300 highly educated and talented professionals. Teamed with MIT Professors J.B. Orlin and T.L. Magnanti to coauthor the book, "Network Flows: Theory, Algorithms, and Applications," which summarized the classical work with the latest advances in the field. The book, which was published in 1993 by Prentice Hall, received the best publication of the year award by INFORMS society, and quickly became the leading textbook and reference book in the field and has retained that spot for the past 25+ years.
