• As Team Lead, I set team goals, drove process improvements, and provided daily direction and support for my six person engineering team. I also served as the engineering lead in the early stages of product initiatives, providing technical input and direction as requirements are defined. As an engineer in the billing group, I helped to maintain and to develop the subscription management systems, payment processing and billing systems, provisioning systems, and a subset of public APIs.

• Owned the feature implementation and onboarding process for contract-driven partnerships with third parties. I helped to design, build and launch a gateway system to facilitate turn-key integrations with strategic partners, seeing the project through from ideation to completion. I also implemented authentication strategies with Square using OpenID Connect and Okta using SAML to create seamless login experiences for merchants as well as internal stakeholders.

• Maintained and supported a Ruby on Rails billing application that integrates with Zuora, a third-party billing provider, to help manage PCI compliance. I participated in the production support rotation, working with the support and finance teams to quickly resolve issues and ensure the admin interface was providing an optimal experience for our internal stakeholders. I built internal tools for the sales team to improve conversion rates, exposed gRPC APIs over HTTP2 for performant, inter-service communications, and re-architected the monthly bill run resulting in a more robust and reliable process.
