  • When I started my role at Bayes, the world was on the brink of major change. As COVID-19 began to unfold, businesses in Singapore came to a standstill and recruitment activity was at an all-time low. Like a boxer cornered in a ring 🥊, it was a challenging time but it also presented an opportunity for me to prove my adaptability and resilience.
  • My mission was clear: 1) build a brand-new desk in 2020 and 2) get myself connected with the talents associated with the segment. With businesses in flux, I dove headfirst into identifying a list of prospective clients within my assigned verticals, companies that needed the right talent once the market rebounds. Concurrently, I built a network of highly skilled professionals holding critical roles in Sales, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Despite the tough market conditions, I focused on creating meaningful relationships with these clients and successfully penetrated new accounts. The results? I delivered >$280K in the semi-rebound year at the end of 2021. It was a period of learning, adaptation, and perseverance. And while the challenges were plenty, the successes were even sweeter 🍬.

  • Took my first baby step into the world of recruitment when I was hired as a 180 Recruiter in Brunel for contract staffing. They gave me the opportunity to experience places like Shipyards, an Electronics factory in Batam, Pulau Bukom, the plants in Jurong Island and the morning traffic to enter Jurong Island 🙄.
  • I was recruiting for for Sales, Engineering and Corporate Support positions across Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Civil Engineering. Despite being on track (and one of the fastest) to clear thresholds, something went south and I had to leave the company unwillingly.
