I tell stories that matter. As the founder of Kathputlee Arts & Films, I’ve spent the last 15+ years transforming how stories are told in India and beyond. What began in 2007 as a dream to revolutionize animation has evolved into a journey that will touch millions through creativity and innovation. The numbers tell part of my story: 500+ successful projects, 30+ global clients, and 3 feature films currently being prepped for release. But what truly drives me is the impact these projects have—on the lives of those who create them & those who experience them. My journey has been marked by so-called “firsts”—from creating India’s first 3D graphic novel for children to spearheading the memorable animation campaign for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, which reached over 200M viewers. Each project has been a stepping stone toward bigger dreams. In 2023, we achieved a remarkable milestone: over 100 days of film shoots across three ambitious feature films, engaging 10,000+ crew members and managing a budget of over $7M. This was a learning experience, working alongside senior colleagues with diverse production, creative, and technical expertise. But more than just making films, it was about proving that independent filmmakers can dream big and deliver even bigger. I'm driven by the passion: creating content that breaks boundaries and connects cultures. Our current projects, valued at $4M+, aren’t just films—they’re a testament to what independent filmmakers can achieve with vision & determination. But what really excites me? The future. I’m on a mission to empower the next generation of indie filmmakers and content creators while strengthening my own skills and knowledge in this dynamic field. Whether it’s sharing insights on securing funding (having raised over $10M for various projects), building audiences (reaching 5M+ viewers across platforms), or creating sustainable income streams, I’m here to help others write their success stories.
