• I’m own and manage Ground, where I’m taking a break from my tech career to build a local, sustainable business rooted in horticulture and community. I lead the day‑to‑day operations of our plant nursery and retail shop, managing everything from sourcing and caring for our living inventory to overseeing staff, merchandising, and customer experience. This work gives me a front‑row view of how technology, human–computer interaction, and user experience directly impact the success of a small business, from online discovery and e‑commerce flows to in‑store systems and customer touchpoints.
• I’m also focused on growing Ground beyond our physical space by developing multiple revenue channels, including dropshipping partnerships, affiliate marketing, trade programs, and direct‑to‑consumer sales. By experimenting with these models, I’m learning how digital tools, data, and UX decisions shape everything from partner relationships and product discovery to customer loyalty and lifetime value.
