Sakshi Ramchandani — Head of Design
Instead of creating stories in my head. I now create stories for brands to sell. My story with marketing started in high school not from a textbook, but from a handmade Sephora store I created for a project. I remember knitting lips, sticking ads on a cardboard bus, building a tiny electronic billboard, all thanks to my late-night imagination. That project got all the recognition I needed, but more than that, it helped me realize the wonders of marketing. Since then, I’ve always known this is what I wanted to do. Break rules to innovate, imagine far into wonderland, and create things that connect with people. Now, I had no idea where that spark would take me. I just knew I wanted in. So I did everything I guess? Spent hours at the printer, built decks full of research no one read, got way too excited to sit in meetings, then slowly went from listening → asking questions → presenting → pitching. From sales to HR to developers, I learned how the whole machine worked because to get marketing right you gotta understand the whole business. Along the way, I wore every hat I could find - copywriter, social media manager, account manager, event planner, Pinterest researcher, Instagram trend spotter, shooter, director, even the person negotiating with vendors at 9AM or 9PM. Starting small meant being a jack of all trades. And I don’t think that’s a bad thing at all by the way, it’s what made me sharp. Today, I’m Head of Social Media & Communications. Sounds big I know and it is but most days it’s still a one-woman or two-woman show. I handle it all with social, comms, influencers, personal branding, B2B, B2C, F&B campaigns, healthcare storytelling. And recently, I created something I’m most proud of, an event for the people of Dubai that isn't just for the SHOW or SOCIAL MEDIA, but something that leaves an impact on people in the most realest way possible and it’s called the UAE’s first Mental Gym ~ to learn more about this feel free to message :) At the heart of everything I do is writing. Not just captions or copy but the kind of writing that connects dots, makes sense of random patterns, and tells a story people that makes people feel something. Outside work, I read fiction and sometimes about the world of filmmaking, binge Netflix, curate aesthetic Pinterest boards, and try to not to break my streak at WORDLE. So yea, I make brands look good, stories make sense, and coffee disappear faster than you’d expect.
