Given MCIM product is for non-tech working class people, they sometimes enters meter readings, quantity incorrect by accidentally entering extra digits or vice-versa. So an outlier detection system was created which determines the possible range of valid reading based on past data.
Range was calculated considering normal distribution of reading deviation and applying 3-sigma rule to it.
