• Led development of NRT Store/Index (contained fast-changing ephemeral attributes and updated independently of Lucene index) and its integration with static Solr/Lucene index. (slow changing text attributes)
• Led geo-aware search (integrating customer experience impacting supply chain variables right into search)
• Led data pipeline and infrastructure for consuming real-time signals/streams in search. (Pricing/Offers/SLAs/Seller rating/Availability were owned by independent teams and etc had very spiky change rates. It impacted customer experience but not textual relevance).
• Talked to upstream and downstream service owners (which were used to lazy compute + caching and co-ordinated with them to move to a event source/change propagation system that was more robust and performant)
