1. Worked in Customer Service and Operations and attended a Driver’s Hours of service class.
2. Worked in Customer Service included order entry on various platforms: EDI, web orders, and plenty of manual orders through the company’s TMS system. Also worked with order tracking and reporting, assisting National Account Customer Service Representatives with FFE’s largest accounts.
3. Spent several weeks in Operations with the linehaul department. Learned about the load planning and driver management process. I was also responsible for submitting billing and securing reservations with each of the major U.S railroads: BNSF, Union Pacific, CSX, and Norfolk Southern.
4. The biggest project was the rollout of a new Delivery Date audit report. My work in order entry and with the National Account CSR’s prepared me well to understand the aim of the audit. I also established the reporting protocols, coached almost every CSR in the company, and provided valuable feedback for the improvement of our order entry process. The reporting process I established will be carried on with the company.
