About

I’m an engineering leader and hardware entrepreneur who builds electromechanical products that solve real-world problems at scale. I hold a B.Tech and M.Tech in Engineering Design from IIT Madras, with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. My career spans deep technical work in mechanical systems, automation, and product execution — from early-stage innovation through manufacturing and deployment. I began my journey at General Motors as an NVH engineer, working on advanced simulation and analysis (FEA/SEA). I then moved into industrial machinery development, where I built strong foundations in machine design, manufacturing, automation, PLC-based control, and end-to-end execution with customers and vendors. As the Co-Founder and CTO of Saral Designs, I led the development of patented decentralized manufacturing technologies that made affordable sanitary napkins accessible to millions. Over eight years, we: - Installed 100+ manufacturing units across South Asia and Africa - Enabled employment for 1,000+ women entrepreneurs - Reached 10M+ end users through the products manufactured Our work has been recognized with the National Entrepreneurship Award, the Outlook India Innovation Award, and featured among India’s top social impact startups. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we rapidly pivoted our engineering and manufacturing capabilities to develop solutions for urgent needs, including mask production and oxygen concentrators — demonstrating speed, resilience, and execution under pressure. Today, I lead the Electromechanical Components Division at a global startup, driving innovation in smart building technologies. I work at the intersection of hardware, embedded systems, design, and automation — collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across industrial design, AI, architecture, and controls engineering. I’m passionate about building scalable hardware products and leading teams that bring complex electromechanical systems from concept to real-world impact.

  • Created custom packaging machinery for clients. It being a proprietorship, had worked end to end on multiple projects. The work required engagement with clients to understand their needs, to designing and fabrication of SPM, to sales and after sales services. Was my first major experience at designing and selling an automated machinery.
