• I am currently working as a Software Engineer in Meta’s Integrity and Security org. I am primarily responsible for leading the design and development of scalable systems and algorithms that can handle large volumes of data to detect and mitigate threats to Meta platforms at scale. Some examples of threats that we tackle are: Political misinformation, Child safety, Financial fraud, Scam etc.

• Conceptualized and built “360° spend view” feature for end users. It increased GoPay brand’s trust score by 9% MoM calculated via social media engagements and user feedback forms.
• Contributed in design of Kafka based event driven architecture while rewriting the next generation of GoPay platform for scalability and reliability.
• Design and implementation of generic Flink based streaming engine for product engineers / managers to iterate faster on real time streaming pipelines. Reduced time to build end to end streaming pipeline from avg of 1 week to few hours.
• Saved ~ 50K USD AWS bill per month by building elastic Kafka consumers which scale on demand and downscale when there’s no demand.
• Adoption and migration to k8s from VM based deployments, Optimizations in building client side load-balancing algorithms, service monitoring, service discovery etc core features for grpc stack.
• Always participated in debugging critical engineering issues with underlying infra / kafka / k8s etc. And carried out a required change management process to fix the issue across the entire infrastructure or cluster.
