About

Ever since I volunteered with various non-governmental organizations across India, I was exposed to the harsh realities of intergenerational poverty and its impact on children, profoundly influencing my life's purpose. My experiences and learnings transformed my passion into a profession, driving me to pursue a Master's in Social Work. My goal is to advocate for children's rights, work towards their welfare and protection, and contribute to societal betterment. Throughout my academic journey and hands-on experiences, I've cultivated a versatile skill set, honed in fast-paced environments. Key strengths include adept time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and flexibility. In child safety placement, I've developed expertise in supervising family contacts, supporting comprehensive case plan preparations, preparing meticulous case notes and so on. I've also come to appreciate the importance of nuanced approaches, including trauma-informed care, strength-based practices, and task-centered interventions, recognizing that each situation demands a tailored response. Working alongside Indigenous families and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities has been a profound experience, deepening my cultural competency and appreciation for diverse perspectives. I prioritize empathetic engagement and ethical practice. By listening attentively and acting with integrity, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for children to thrive. With a passion for working towards children's well-being, I'm committed to ongoing learning and growth, and excited to join a team dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of families and communities, and contribute to industry best practices.
