  • Designed and Implemented XML/HTTP based service for VeriSign partners Yahoo Inc. Two major portal Components: Yahoo Search and Yahoo Companion. Other partners included ISP Interland.
  • Implemented DIME (Direct Internet Message Encapsulation) API, compliant with Internet draft, for the VeriSign Trusted Gateway product.
  • Co-designed and implemented a Java Message Service (JMS) based distributed component framework or platform which comprised of a runtime environment, a component registry, and repository. Components encapsulate extended stateful machines or directed graphs with nodes. Nodes have actions associated with it which can be business logic as Java code. The runtime provides a controlled execution environment for the components, whose behavior and flow is specified as XML document. One can envision a component as a stateful flow entity; messages to the component trigger node transitions. The component registry facilitates lookup services, while the component repository persists state transitions.
  • Designed and Implemented C++ multi-threaded trawler bot that would query DNS named server, obtain registered domains' Mail exchange server, ascertain whether the target MX hosts supports TLS over SMTP, and initiate the TLS handshake to obtain secure certificate. The utility, smqbot, is modeled on pipeline threading model where a producer thread produces large data sets of registered domain names and the consumer services threads query the DNS for MX records and contact the Mail exchange server. The trawler is designed to process the entire registry of Internet domains in configurable batches.
