• Worked with the Content Management Team to build highly scalable and distributed services and tools which powered Amazon and its subsidiary websites.
• Led the design, development of a new optimisation algorithm for optimising the content on a given page based on its performance (Patent US8949712). This algorithm was extremely successful and showed that it could boost the revenue by >$50m on YoY basis, when implemented on the Amazon homepage.
• Led the design and development of a scalable Content Optimisation system which can process large amounts of data (on the scale of TB) using a distributed processing framework for optimising the content displayed to the users of Amazon. This system computes different metrics that are useful for identifying the performance of a given piece of content and completing the feedback loop so that the content delivery system can show the right content to the end user.
• Worked on Design and Development of a flexible job scheduling library that takes the overhead of dependency management away from the users and lets the users focus on development of business logic. Users can configure the dependencies between different jobs easily using provided tools.
• Developed a Content Scheduling system, that allows users to schedule content to the website.

• Worked on showing relevant search snippets (blocks of text from the actual page that display under the link to a page) in the Google search results. This new algorithm factored in recency of the page updates to ensure that the search snippets shown to a user are related to the recent events and the search query.
