Even the best opportunities can be miserable if they don’t bring fulfillment. Am I right?! I’m not a fan of the title “recruiter.” It screams sales to me and that’s not what I do. I match great candidates with opportunities. I don’t sell candidates to take a position they’ll hate or leave out details to “sell” a role. Or that you would support X in a role and in reality, you ended up supporting A-Z? Those are what we call, “great learning experiences.” It’s how most people figure out what they want; by discovering what they don’t want. Looking for a job? I’ve been there. No, seriously – I’ve been unemployed, ghosted, rejected and even done the unspeakable – I let the search process take my identity and self-worth. Don’t do that. Horror stories from job hunting are what drive me to do more. I strive to make the candidate experience better. I help, I provide feedback and deliver the news – good and bad. Let’s do this!
