  • FRC Team 4931 is a team of 20+ students from multiple area high schools that participates in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The team was founded in September 2013 and has competed in two official FIRST regional competitions where they won several awards. Randall volunteers as a coach and mentor for the team. During the competition season, Randall and the other adult mentors guide the team as students learn the season's game requirements, and then design, build, program, test, and prepare their robots for competition. During the off-season, Randall helps coordinate activities, identify and prepare training, arrange classroom and laboratory facilities, collaborate with other regional organizations for cooperative activities, and schedule outreach events at area schools and university, where students talk about their rewarding first-hand experiences with STEM.
