About

By combining my quarter of a century practical experience and my degree in law, I help my clients navigate the vagaries of Data Protection and Information Governance Legislation which includes the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and PECR; I am currently further enhancing this knowledge by embarking on my LLM (Masters in Law - specifically in Information Rights Law and Practice). We also offer bespoke In-house courses, seminars and workshops all over the UK and Overseas Data Protection Training Courses offered include: Principles of Data Protection (Introduction) Level 1 Principles of Data Protection (Data Control) Level 2 Principles of Data Protection (Risk & Compliance) Level 3 Principles of Data Protection (Internal Auditing) Level 4 These courses are offered both on a public and in-house basis plus virtual. We also offer Workshops on the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and PECR, both public and in-house and virtual options are available. Data Protection and Information Governance is an important issue that must be addressed at board level so if you are looking for some expertise in this area I am available to offer my services as a Non-Executive Director. Data Protection/GDPR Trainer & Information Governance Consultant

May 2014Present · 12 yrs 1 mo · Lincoln, United Kingdom

  • Information Governance and Data Protection/GDPR Specialist
  • In 1990 I co-founded ADMAR, a highly respected Specialist Data Agency, and over the years I have been involved in many complex data projects.
  • By combining my quarter of a century practical experience and my degree in law, I help my clients navigate the vagaries of Data Protection legislation together with Information Governance, and I am further enhancing this knowledge by embarking on my LLM (Masters in Law - specifically in Information Rights Law and Practice).
  • Clients use my skills in many ways. I and my team help write polices, perform informal and formal data audits, fire-fight data disasters, train their staff and predict future DPA changes helping them preempt changes, both now and in the future with the ever changing legislative landscape. In so doing I help protect their reputation, their brand and their exposure to financial penalties. I am immensely proud of being part of the team that created our certified Data Protection training courses/workshops and deliver these courses with passion and enthusiasm. I am also a keen trainer on bespoke in-house workshops and enjoy delivering them both face-to-face and virtually.
  • I am also an Employability Mentor for the University of Lincoln, member of the Business Professors Network at The Grimsby Institute plus an Associate Lecturer at Salford University ONECPD and dog-lover - my favorite adverts ever - Andrex Puppy and O2 Be More Dog!
  • Integrity, honesty and respect sum up my ethos and I are always here for a chat - just call (01673 885533) if you need help, advice, or just a shoulder to lean on. I love to talk. Alternatively send me an email via paul@griffinhouseconsultancy.co.uk

Admar support services ltd

Managing Director

Aug 1990May 2014 · 23 yrs 9 mos · Lincoln, United Kingdom

  • In 1990 I was one of the proud founders of ADMAR Data Services, a specialist agency offering bespoke data, consultancy and training services which is still going strong today. My co-director and I built the company on quality, honesty, integrity and friendliness and this has attracted like-minded clients, which has held us in good stead through the last three recessions.
  • Since leaving school I have achieved both a BSc and law degree, as well as many other coaching and NLP skills. In addition to having a keen sense of ethical business values, I also have a strong belief in giving back to the community. In my early days I volunteered with the St. John Ambulance, and latterly offer my mentoring and coaching skills to Lincoln University and other educational establishments.
  • My favourite saying, ‘There is no such thing as strangers, only friends I have yet to meet’ I look forward to meeting you.
