Shashank Singh — Founder
My work has been shaped less by boardrooms and more by villages, water bodies, and long conversations with communities. I am the founder of GRAM Association (Groundwater & Reforestation Adaptive Management) in Jharkhand. We work on reviving traditional water structures, shallow aquifer management, and reforestation linked to rural livelihoods. Trained as an engineer at KIIT, I found my real education as an SBI Youth for India Fellow at Barefoot College, Tilonia. That led to a 64-day motorcycle journey across 9 states documenting India's traditional water wisdom and eventually to founding GRAM in 2019. I am drawn to the space between practice and policy, where lived village experience can inform governance and funding choices. Open to conversations and collaborations on water, environment, sustainable livelihoods, and CSR for rural India.
