About

Senior Software Engineer, 6 years in. Most of that time was at Turbot, working on one problem class: making third-party systems (cloud providers, SaaS, ITSM) talk to a policy engine in real time, reliably, with zero data loss. Five integrations shipped across event pipelines, webhook ingestion, agent architectures, SDK design, and code generation. Available immediately following Turbot's India restructuring in April 2026. On Azure, I rebuilt the change-event consumer from polling (up to 15 min latency) to a push pipeline on Event Grid (~30s typical), solo end-to-end. A Terraform runner on AWS ECS Fargate provisions Event Grid topics into the customer's Azure subscription; I also wrote the webhook validation handler for the subscription handshake. Migrated every customer with zero event loss via dual-delivery overlap. For ServiceNow, I built a bidirectional sync handling ~350K resources from a single workspace. No official ServiceNow JS SDK exists, so I wrote a versioned internal one from scratch, paired with a Nunjucks code-generation pipeline that emits 76 integration packages from one templated definition. Was the company-wide POC across 8 enterprise customers. For Kubernetes, I co-built the platform's first agent-based integration, departing from the credential-pull model used by every prior cloud integration. osquery + Steampipe for collection, SQS FIFO + Lambda for ingestion. Resolved Lambda concurrency contention at 30k pod churn by batching events per invocation. Smaller threads I care about: introduced AI-assisted scaffolding (Claude Code) to the OCI mod and saw it adopted team-wide; trained junior engineers on it. Maintain an OSS U-Net image segmentation repo at ~290 stars (github.com/sdsubhajitdas/Brain-Tumor-Segmentation). Day-to-day stack: Node.js, TypeScript, AWS (Lambda, ECS Fargate, SQS, S3, CloudTrail), Azure Event Grid, GCP, OCI, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL (JSONB), GraphQL, Terraform / OpenTofu. Familiar with Java and Python. Looking for Senior or Staff Backend IC roles at product companies and well-funded startups in Bengaluru or Remote India. The pull toward product is real for me: the scope of work and depth of learning are higher, and the engineers at these companies operate at a level I want to be part of. Drawn to event-driven systems, microservices, distributed systems, and developer platforms; problems where system design carries real weight, and new challenges that stretch what I know. Open to Java / Spring, Python, or Go for the right team. Reach me at sdsubhajitdas98@gmail.com

  • Owned four major integrations end-to-end: architecture, implementation, customer rollout, and post-launch ownership.
  • ▶ Azure Event Grid — sub-minute push pipeline replacing polling
  • ◍ Re-architected Azure change-event ingestion from polling (up to 15 min latency) to a push pipeline on Event Grid (~30s typical). Solo end-to-end.
  • ◍ A containerised Terraform runner on AWS ECS Fargate provisions Event Grid topics inside the customer's Azure subscription. Authored the webhook validation handler for the subscription handshake.
  • ◍ Migrated every customer with zero event loss via dual-delivery overlap.
  • ▶ Kubernetes — the platform's first agent-based integration
  • ◍ Co-built the platform's first integration outside the credential-pull model. osquery + Steampipe for in-cluster collection; SQS FIFO + Lambda for ingestion. Shipped 16 K8s resource types and JWT-based agent enrollment.
  • ◍ Resolved Lambda concurrency contention at 30k pod churn by batching events per invocation. Owner across 5 enterprise customers (largest: 25 clusters, 130+ nodes).
  • ▶ GitHub — extending SecOps coverage to enterprise + air-gapped networks
  • ◍ Tech lead on a team of 4: owned architecture, broke down work, coordinated delivery.
  • ◍ Expanded the integration to GitHub Enterprise Cloud and GitHub Enterprise Server (on-prem), and added authenticated corporate-proxy routing for enterprise networks. Owner across 2–3 enterprise customers.
  • ▶ Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — shipped at Launch Week 12
  • ◍ Shipped 7 OCI integration packages live with 2 enterprise customers. Owned OCI API auth, mapped OCI's tenancy/compartment hierarchy into the platform's resource hierarchy, and designed both polling and webhook event paths (webhooks via Terraform).
  • ◍ Introduced AI-assisted scaffolding (Claude Code) for OCI API research and code generation. Trained 2 juniors; adopted team-wide as the standard.

  • ▶ ServiceNow Integration — bidirectional sync between Turbot and the enterprise ITSM of record
  • ◍ Built bidirectional sync handling ~350K resources across 40 AWS accounts from a single workspace. Inbound via REST polling + webhook push from ServiceNow Business Rules; outbound writes to CMDB tables directly, or via Import Sets staging for customers with restricted write access.
  • ◍ No official ServiceNow JS SDK exists, so I wrote a versioned internal one from scratch, paired with a Nunjucks code-generation pipeline that emits 76 integration packages from one templated definition.
  • ◍ Shipped customer-driven extensions: server-side query filtering against ServiceNow's native DSL, user-defined resource types from arbitrary tables, and CI relationship sync. Was the company-wide ServiceNow POC across 8 enterprise customers.
  • ▶ AWS IAM permission modelling — Terraform Stacks transformation
  • ◍ Co-authored a Node.js + AWS SDK implementation that transforms Terraform Stacks. Worked with cross-functional teams to automate AWS IAM permission modelling, letting users assign permissions within defined scopes, with built-in drift detection and automatic remediation.
  • Cross-cloud compliance + tooling
  • ◍ Built configuration, cost-based, and security-compliance guardrails for AWS, Azure, and GCP services, along with end-to-end integration tests in Terraform. Coverage: 200+ services across the 3 major cloud providers.
  • ◍ Added federated AWS access with IAM integration for a fine-grained user permission model.
  • ◍ Built an automated documentation pipeline (GitHub Actions + Node.js scripts) covering 200+ mods.

  • Built and shipped individual controls (policy + control + action triplets) across the AWS, Azure, and GCP mod families. High-volume feature work covering tagging enforcement, encryption guardrails, public-access prevention, and configuration drift across resource types.
  • ◍ Owned monthly legacy product releases through the internal release pipeline.
  • ◍ Wrote Terraform integration test scripts to provision real cloud resources for end-to-end testing of new controls and mods.
