The shift from Cloud & IT to HR wasn't a pivot — it was a pattern recognition. Systems break for the same reasons teams do: unclear ownership, poor feedback loops, and processes that outlive their purpose. I just swapped servers for people strategies. What I actually do: At Deloitte USI, I sit at the intersection of talent operations and learning quality — using ServiceNow, Power Automate, and Microsoft 365 to cut the administrative drag that keeps HR teams from doing real work. I'm less interested in reporting metrics and more interested in what they're hiding. Where I'm headed: I'm actively exploring PMO roles where a technical foundation isn't a novelty — it's an asset. At Deloitte USI, I work across two distinct but connected functions: Employee Engagement and Learning & Development Operations. Most people test the waters. I kept going back. Each Services Selection Board attempt sharpened something that no classroom could: composure under assessment, self-awareness at pressure, and a genuine understanding of what military leadership demands from a person.
Along the way, I cleared CDS, AFCAT, INET, and CGCAT — competitive defence and government examinations that sit among the harder filters in the country. The outcomes didn't always go my way, but the depth of knowledge they demanded stayed.
Today, that foundation shapes how I read the world — defence strategy, military policy, geopolitical risk, and the security frameworks that hold (or fail to hold) international order together. It's not a hobby. It's a lens.
