About

I am an inclined and enthusiastic computer scientist with an unending zeal for solving challenging problems. I take initiative in learning new things daily and am currently seeking a challenging workspace that can help develop hands-on experience and elevate existing skills. My interest areas range from low-level software implementation to theory, but my true passion is found in computer security. Professionally, I have had the privilege of working at Synopsys/Black Duck Software for one and a half years as a Software Engineer, and I have learned solid software development practices during these experiences from my team and mentors. Outside of my career path, I enjoy sports very much; you can find me in the gym or on the courts. I play basketball, badminton, and volleyball, run marathons, surf in the summer and snowboard in the winter. Hoping to spread inspiration and connect with like-minded individuals around the globe!

Software Engineer

Oct 2024Jun 2025 · 8 mos · Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom · Hybrid

  • Synopsys Software Integrity business spun out as an independent entity - Black Duck Software.
  • I was pleased to be offered the opportunity to stay on in my role part-time during my final year of studies, carrying out the same calibre of work but on a less frequent basis. This period of part-time work also allowed me to engage with the student body in my role by going to careers fairs on behalf of Black Duck Software.

Software Engineer Intern

Dec 2023Oct 2024 · 10 mos · Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom · Hybrid

  • Worked during my placement year as a full-time Software Engineer.
  • Researched and analysed the frameworks and libraries for security vulnerabilities in software codebases, and produced specifications for static analysis rules for the core SAST tool. This research is conducted across multiple programming languages, including languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, Kotlin, Python and Go.
  • Developed and meticulously refined analysis rules catered to the unique syntax and paradigms of each supported language in Rust, ensuring the accurate detection of security flaws and vulnerabilities.
  • Conducted rigorous testing and evaluation of implemented rules on diverse codebases to ensure accurate reporting and scalability.
  • Contributed to the continuous enhancement of in-house translation units and tooling infrastructure, facilitating the development and deployment of advanced analysis functionalities across multiple languages.
  • Collaborated closely with a remote Static Analysis team of engineers to iterate on solutions and develop, following a workflow for developing the rules for the static analysis tool Coverity, based on the ideas and specifications produced by the security research team, from idea generation to production, review, testing, and collecting metrics to optimise performance in identifying security vulnerabilities.

Front Of House

May 2021Aug 2021 · 3 mos · Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom · On-site

  • Through Stint, I have been picking up work shifts in several restaurants/hotels/businesses across Glasgow in the summer. I have acquired experience in the hospitality industry and have been able to see how a business runs from behind the scenes. This has taught me a lot about professionalism, discipline and promptness. Above all, it has shown me the simplicity of bringing positive energy into a new space and smiling. As I complete more and more Stints, it is apparent to me that a new face working a shift breaks the monotony experienced by employees and they are very receptive of the additional support.
