• I joined Kalido India as an Engineering Team Lead responsible to establish the Engineering function and to build Engineering team in Kalido India.
•  Spent first month in London with the UK R&D team learning domain, product design and code base.
•  Staffed a team of high caliber software engineers and got them up to speed quickly.
•  Managed and contributed to three critical projects for the Information Engine – Netezza and Teradata port and architecture changes for improving performance on Netezza platform.
•  Managed the rapid transfer of technology and built a technically strong 11-member team to handle multiple releases across 4 different Kalido products.

• Rejoined as a result of IBM acquisition of Rational and continued work on the Apex product.
• Responsible for making major releases of windows Apex product as well patches for earlier versions. Responsible for completed development, testing and release engineering responsibilities for windows version of the Apex product.
• Worked closely with a colleague in Rational US to migrate Apex on Linux to Eclipse platform.
• Contributed towards improving the quality of Testmate component of Apex for six months. Testmate component is a test generation, test execution and report generation tool for Ada programs.
• Represented the Rational brand in Technical Experts Council of IBM India. As a member of TEC, I co-lead a conference at IBM Beaverton during Sep. 27-29 2004 titled “Exploring use of Static Analysis in Software Engineering”.
• Part of the interview panel in IBM Rational for recruitment activities for the India Development Center.

• At Rational, I worked in Apex product group - an integrated development environment for Ada/C/C++. I worked in different components - runtimes,debugger, GUI component,dialogs,build process,release process and compiler front-end. The team in India had ownership for optimizer and code generators for all variants of Apex and joint responsibility for debugger.
• Apart from resolving defects, a summary of the major work done by me were:
• I worked as Apex as an individual contributor responsible for porting the front-end and runtimes to an M68K based embedded system.
• I Designed and implemented Remote Compiler Integrator(RCI) for windows version of Apex. RCI enables customers of Apex to use third party Ada compilers with Apex product.
• I re-designed and re-implemented automated nightly build process for all components of the windows version of the product.
• I resolved numerous issues in runtimes related to support for multiple threads of execution and locking in Ada.
