  • Worked on launching and scaling the Beauty & Personal Care from a meagre 1.2% to 7% order contribution in 7 months and sustained the growth which is 13x growth in absolute numbers in less than 2 years. Experience includes:

  • Problem solving and experimenting to figure out the best growth approaches including improving merchandising, video reviews, product suggestions, repeat buying nudges, etc
  • Solved quality and trust issues for cosmetics in social commerce by building a Quality Board (named Beauty board). Top 100 users of the portfolio reviewed products personally to ensure quality. Failed products did not go live on app. Resulted in Quality returns < 3% (lowest at Meesho)
  • Solving for returns (Meesho is the only platform with returns available in cosmetics) by introducing Easy and Standard returns with price benefits
  • Executing Price Drops by overseeing the overall MP commission reduced from 15% to 0% within a year
  • Brought a slew of brands in partnership to the MP including but not limited to Mamaearth, WoW Skincare, Good Vibes, Khadi, Vega, etc
  • Also, an integral part of Grocery and Fruits & Vegetable pilot enabling Hyperlocal Delivery during lockdown within a weeks' time under Business Continuity Plan.
  • Emerging Categories: Pioneered the identification and subsequent launch of new categories at Meesho as part of my final stint. Identified more than 10 high potential categories and ended up launching 5 of them in a year contributing >1% of the business. More categories are underway. Key categories include:
