• Implemented UPI Mandate workflows, enabling seamless post-disbursal loan recovery through UPI AutoPay. Re-architected the legacy NACH journey by carving it out of the monolith into a dedicated microservice, reducing friction compared to e-NACH/physical flows and improving mandate success rates by 15–20%.
• Onboarded major merchant lending partners (Google Pay, PhonePe) by building end-to-end bureau, policy, and eligibility layers for their lending journeys. These partner programs have contributed 1000+ Cr in disbursals to date across the PayU lending ecosystem.
• Decoupled core lending-risk components — bureau, rules engine, offer generation, and mandate flows — from a tightly coupled monolith into independently deployable microservices. Delivered stronger fault isolation, decentralized CI/CD, cleaner bounded contexts, and achieved ~30% reduction in eligibility API latency through improved horizontal scaling.
• Implemented Aadhaar–PAN linkage verification as a dedicated compliance microservice under accelerated RBI timelines. Standardized the KYC-linkage contract and productized it into a shared platform service adopted by multiple PayU teams for regulatory compliance flows.
• Built a Kafka-based retry orchestration framework integrated with Azkaban scheduling and circuit breakers, enabling robust, asynchronous retries across all lending workflows and reducing operational overhead from transient failures.
• Implemented eligibility flows (bureau, rules & offer) for the Non-Sole-Prop (NSP) Lending Program, enabling compliant and low-risk NSP loan disbursals. Designed scalable and modular risk-evaluation pipelines aligned with merchant-specific business policies.
• Developed AI-powered internal utility PoCs using Cursor AI, automating recurring engineering tasks including code scaffolding, diff analysis, refactoring, documentation generation, and unit test case generation.
