• This role was my first experience with the Alshaya Group! The Human Resources department is one that I've always had a keen interest in, and this position was an opportunity to explore that interest deeply.
• During my time as an HR intern, I worked on a project with the Payroll Department that was concerned with process automation.
• The project included:
• Working with multiple people from the Payroll department to understand the working of their Oracle system databases.
• Pitch ideas on possible improvements of the system and increase automation using Oracle, reducing manual work and man hours required.
• Report to senior management regularly through checkpoint meetings.
• Prepare a policy rework presentation with a process flow chart.
• Presenting and discussing further improvements to the concepts with the Head of Payroll and Director of Human Resources through 1-to-1 meetings.
